Air-Fryer


Have you used an Air-fryer?  They are fun to use and easy to cook with.  We bought an air-fryer to  cook some of our food in a healthy manner.  Both the hubby and I like fried food but we know it really isn't good for you.  

One of the first foods we cooked in it was fried chicken.  We both loved it.  It turned out moist on the inside and crispy on the outside. We are both lovers of fried chicken.  It was absolutely delicious.  It is the only way we eat fried chicken now.

So when I asked him what he wanted for his birthday dinner (today is his birthday). he said he wanted the air-fryer chicken.  That and some French fries.



All you have to do is use your own homemade recipe for the coating.  

  • Preheat the air-fryer to 390 degrees.
  • Dip the chicken in it, then dip in a milk and eggs mixture and back in the coating mixture. 
  • Place in air-fryer basket and set cooking time for 30 minutes.
Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      Pros and Cons of Using Air-Fryers                                                                                
Pros:

  • Air-fried foods have less calories and fat
  •  Inexpensive to operate
  • They are efficient to use
  • They take up little space on the counter
  • They are easy to use
  • Easy to clean
  • Inexpensive to operate
  • You just preheat, put the food in the basket, and let it do the cooking.
Cons:

  • The food doesn't taste quite the same as when you deep fry it
  • It takes longer to cook the food
  • Not good to use to cook for a large group
  • It is easier to burn or dry out food.
  • The food does not turn out as crunchy as when it is deep fried
     Despite the cons we have decided that we are devoted to using our air-fryer.  We get the flavor from marinating our meat and using spices.  All in all, we think it is a healthier way to get our fried food.
